摘要
A plant sampling program was launched by the Weatherby Processing Plant to upgrade the flowsheets, which resulted in a major improvement in the separation efficiency and considerable reduction in magnetite consumption. The plant upgrades included the installation of raw coal sizing screen, the establishment of coarse and fine heavy medium cyclones circuits, a compound spirals circuit, and a column floating circuit. The new circuit used a 10- × 20- ft multi-slope partitioned drain and rinse screen. Spirals were installed to treat the underflow from the refuse classifying cyclones. The development of the proposed flow-sheet to upgrade the plant circuitry was based on the data from the in-depth sampling program including the existing equipments, the available state-of-art processing technology, and the project underground mining plan.
