Troubleshooting : How clean are your pipes?

Some of the tips recommended for cleaning the pipelines of corrugated systems are discussed. The continuous flow of adhesive through the corrugated system builds layer upon layer of pipe-plugging material that reduces flow to the pans and creates backpressure that overworks the pumps. A cleaning routine should be implemented that uses an effective and approved cleaner to flush the lines on a regular basis. This will allow almost all the starch to drain out of the pipelines reducing adhesive waste at the end of the operations. While cleaning, we should use a Tee with a plug instead of an elbow. This allows the plug to be removed if needed and the line cleaned with a brush or ramrod. Strategic valve placement and plumbing design is a great asset and adds flexibility to the system. Stainless steel is the premium material for pipelines because it is resistant to chemicals.
