Saving energy with refrigeration dryers

Atlas Copco has developed the Saver Cycle control system that improve the performance of refrigeration dryers, leading to significant energy consumption and save costs. It has been observed that refrigeration dryers with speed-controlled refrigerant compressors adjust the energy consumption to match the demand based on the moisture load. The energy consumption can be reduced by the company's Saver Cycle control system. The refrigerant compressor is shut down when volume flows are low at or the ambient temperature is high. The relative air humidity of the compressed air at the exit from the dryer is kept below 50% at every point in time to ensure that all compressed air consumers are protected against corrosion.
