摘要
For the responsible management of waste, environmentally friendly processes, such as thermal waste treatment, are available. The key feature of these environmentally friendly processes is maximized energy utilization combined with maximized reduction of pollutants. However, on account of the different waste policies within Europe, the design of new plants must also make provision for different political and economic requirements, leading to higher investment costs. As this paper shows, however, selective investment can certainly improve the efficiency of plant operation.
