Microstructure and Properties of TIG Welded Joint of FeCrAl Alloy Plates

TIG welding was used to weld FeCrAl alloy sheet with two sides and multiple layers. The filling material was FeCrAl alloy wire. The weld zone is composed of coarse ferrite microstructure. The heat affected zone is composed of fine equiaxed crystal microstructure. The effect of welding parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties of welded joints was investigated. The maximum tensile strength of the welded joint after heat treatment reaches 400 MPa,about 52. 2% of the base metal’strength. The maximum tensile strength of the welded joint after heat treatment reaches 482 MPa,about 62. 3% of the base metal’strength,which can meet the mechanical properties of the welded joint of FeCrAl alloy sheet as load-bearing structure. © 2023 Cailiao Daobaoshe/ Materials Review.
