Entrepreneurial spirit: Dead or alive? [entrepreneurship]

A national survey by London Business School found that 18-24 years olds showed the most positive attitudes towards the self entrepreneurship. Many students are running their own service businesses while taking their degree. The majority of MBA students are taking up careers as consultants, finance directors, project managers or general managers with the aim of working for themselves. It is also becoming the dream for many graduates who prefer independence and enterprise to a conventional career with a big concern. Five northeast universities are supporting students and graduate enterprise projects through the NE center for Universities Enterprise to develop an enterprise culture. It operates through 'laboratory' space provided by companies where individuals can carry out market research, business planning, ideas development pre-testing and pre-trading, as well as benefiting from shared offices, support services, networking opportunities.
