Foggy image enhancement algorithm based on Retinex and statistical color models

摘要
The fog is a very common natural phenomenon in our life. However, the appearance of the fog makes some of the pictures that we got not clear, and it causes some adverse effect on our lives. So how to deal with the foggy image is very important. In this paper, on the basis of traditional Retinex algorithm, we used the color statistics to deal with the image. The so-called statistical method is that, first is to transfer the color of the image and then use the idea of statistics to deal with it. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm. © 2014 ICIC International.
