摘要
A fast hybrid method that combines Gaussian beam method and Poynting vector-based shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) method is proposed for wave propagation of electrically large dielectric radome. The Gaussian beam method provides an efficient solution for the calculation of the full vector field propagated from the excitation source to the inner surface of the radomes. The radiation field of the aperture field covered by radomes is calculated by Poynting vector-based SBR method, in which Poynting vector tracing and splitting on the dielectric boundary will be taken into consideration specifically. Numerical results show that the proposed hybrid method can predict wave propagation through dielectric radome, especially for the electrically large-size multilayer radome, and the results show good agreement with conventional electromagnetic simulation algorithms, and the computation can be accelerated by 34 times.
