Stress-strain relationship and physical-mechanical properties of domestic structural aluminum alloy

Based on 42 stress-strain curves obtained from tension tests of domestic structural 6061-T6 aluminum alloy specimens finished in this study, and other 11 stress-strain curves collected from existing similar tests, it is estabished that the stress-strain relationship of the domestic structural 6061-T6 aluminum alloy is basically in accordance with the Ramberg-Osgood Model and the SteinHardt Suggestion. In addition, the physical-mechanical property data, including proof stress f0.2, tensile strength fu and Yong's modulus E, of 1092 specimens of the domestic structural 6061-T6 aluminum alloy are collected, all of which show good normal distribution statistically. Finally, according to Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures (GB 50068-2001), the characteristic values of f0.2 and E of domestic structural 6061-T6 aluminum alloy are proposed for further reference in establishing or revising of relative design standards.
