Shock reflection detonation initiation studies for kerosene/air pulse detonation engines

摘要
In order to investigate a new technique shock reflection detonation initiation for kerosene/air pulse detonation engine, the circular orifice plates and the wedge obstacles were designed. Much detonation experimentation was carried out and the kerosene/air aero-valve pulse detonation engine could be operated at 30 Hz in frequency. The results show that shock reflection detonation initiation is effective and fully developed repetitive detonation waves were obtained. This investigation is of importance to supply theory and practice for optimizing kerosene/air aero-valve pulse detonation engine.
