Failure analysis on sealing packing box in compressor

摘要：
The macrocosmic appearance of the crack of the packing box was analyzed from the creating position and extending direction of crack. According to the theory of creating of fretting fatigue crack, it is showed that fretting fatigue results in the failure of packing box. By analyzing the working condition and failure mechanism of packing box, it is proved in theory that fretting fatigue results in the failure of packing box.
