3D joint inversion of surface and borehole magnetic data and its application to crisis mines exploration

摘要
There are certain limitations inversing with surface or borehole magnetic data alone, which lead to multiplicity for the inverse results. Nowadays, the surface-borehole joint inversion is seldom studied at home and abroad. Through demonstrating the principle and necessity of 3D joint inversion, and the application in Daye iron mine, we proved the favorable effect in mineral exploration. This method, which takes full advantage of the surface, borehole magnetic data as well as the experience of interpretation workers is applicable to all mines in China. At the same time, the method overcomes the disadvantages of inversing by surface or borehole magnetic data alone, and can determine the spatial shape and location of the geological bodies accurately. The latter results verify the effectiveness of the method.
