摘要
Research purposes: The Chengdu - Chongqing region, located in the Sichuan Basin, is promoting the large - scale planning and construction of multi -level rail transit in the Shuangcheng Economic Circle. The Sichuan Basin, also known as the Red Layer Basin, has its unique engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions that pose many challenges to the construction of railways, especially high - speed railways. Based on the main engineering geological problems faced by the construction of multiple high - speed railways in the Sichuan Basin, this paper determined the engineering geological zoning for high - speed railway exploration in the Sichuan Basin. Research conclusions; (1) Based on the principle of similarity within the region and differences between regions, a principle of engineering geological zoning in the Sichuan Basin was established, with regional engineering geological conditions and major engineering geological problems as influencing factors. (2) This paper constructed five major engineering geological zones for high - speed railway exploration in the Sichuan Basin, clarified the boundaries, main engineering geological conditions and problems of each major zone, control factors for disaster reduction and route selection, and key and difficult exploration points. (3) Engineering geological zoning is conducive to adopting more effective survey methods based on the characteristics of the zoning, developing more targeted survey plans, avoiding geological risks from the source, and achieving precise survey goals. (4) The research results have guidance and promotion prospects for the subsequent survey and design of high - speed railways in the Sichuan Basin. © 2023 Editorial Department of Journal of Railway Engineering Society.
