摘要：
In view of the importance of preventive maintenance in reliability engineering, this paper studies a discrete time repairable system. The life, the preventive maintenance time and the corrective maintenance time of the system are assumed to be non-negative random variables with general discrete distributions and the repair is assumed perfect. The instantaneous availability model and the average availability model based on preventive maintenance are established. The optimal preventive maintenance interval model is proposed. Several textbook examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the optimal model.
