Multi-scan and bi-directional reference fast intra prediction

摘要
A multi-scan and bi-directional reference fast intra prediction algorithm is proposed to improve the performance of intra prediction. One or more scanning modes are determined by the fringe relativity, and the number of unidirectional intra prediction modes is reduced by preprocessing. Bi-direction intra prediction modes are determined by the sum of absolute transformed difference. The final intra prediction modes are determined by simple distortion, and then encoded to greatly improve the encoding quality. Simulations and comparisons with the double scanning mode and bi-direction intra prediction algorithm show that coding time of the proposed algorithm is reduced greatly, bitrate is reduced by 2.74% and power signal noise ratio is increased by 0.13 dB.
