Microstructure evolution of pure magnesium based on dynamic recrystallization during ambient equal channel angular pressing

摘要
An as-extruded pure Mg bar was subjected to ambient equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) up to four passes. Recrystallization behavior of as-ECAPed samples was investigated by scanning electron microscope-electron back scatter diffraction (SEM-EBSD). After four-pass ECAP, grain orientation was significantly changed and basal-oriented texture was formed with c-axes of most grains nearly parallel to transverse direction (TD). Dynamic recrystallization (DRX) shows obvious orientation dependence during ambient ECAP, with continuous dynamic recrystallization (CDRX) partly transforming into discontinuous dynamic recrystallization (DDRX) after the four-pass ECAP.
