Study on combustion characteristics of NEPE propellant at high pressure

摘要
The combustion characteristics of NEPE propellants were studied in detail by measuring flame structure, combustion waves and SEM, et al. It was showed that pressure exponent of NEPE propellant had a inflection point at high pressure. The model of combustion process of NEPE propellant is transferred from nitramine-CMDB propellant type to AP-CM-DB propellant type with the increase of combustion pressure and the content of AP. The content of nitrate ester group, and the diffusion progress of AP monopropellant flame in gas-phase were significant manipulative factors in controlling the inherent burning rate and pressure exponent of NEPE propellants.
