摘要
The existing methods have low efficiency in generating shape-aware wordle and only use specific directions and fixed center when placing words. To address this problem, a fast generation method for shape-aware wordle based on heat diffusion equation and rotationally symmetric field is proposed. First, the distance field at each location is quickly obtained by simulating the heat diffusion process on the triangular mesh, which is then used to guide the rapid growth of Archimedean spirals to place words within a shape. Second, the focus of the word cloud is adjusted by changing the position and temperature of the source in the heat diffusion process, generating word cloud layout under different word placement centers. Finally, the rotationally symmetric field is employed to interpolate the direction constraint from users' interaction to obtain the word placement direction at each pixel, which helps the wordle layout to match the shape feature. The experiment shows that the method can quickly generate feature-aware wordle under different focuses. © 2022, Beijing China Science Journal Publishing Co. Ltd. All right reserved.
