摘要
This study investigates the viability of tea waste as a biomass feedstock for pellet production and its combustion characteristics. Tea waste, an abundant agricultural byproduct, presents a promising avenue for renewable energy generation if effectively utilized. The pellets derived from tea waste were subjected to detailed analysis focusing on their calorific values and carbon composition. The calorific value of tea waste pellets was determined to be approximately 18.5 MJ/kg, comparable to conventional wood pellets. Notably, these pellets exhibit a high carbon content of 45 %, indicating a significant fixed carbon fraction that necessitates tailored combustion strategies for optimal efficiency. This research underscores the potential of tea waste pellets as a sustainable biofuel, contingent upon the development and application of precise combustion methodologies. It underscores the critical importance of understanding the chemical properties of solid biofuels in optimizing their utilization for energy production.
