摘要
In this letter, an efficient MoM-PO method that merges the method of equivalent dipole moment (EDM) and the novel efficient shadowing factor determining algorithm is proposed to calculate the radar cross section (RCS) of electrically large targets with complex structures. To enhance the efficiency of shadowing factor determination, shadowing factors in the proposed method are categorized into two types, each determined by distinct methods: the first employing the Open Graphics Library algorithm and the second utilizing an innovative space segmentation strategy. Additionally, to optimize the efficiency of the impedance matrix evaluation and circumvent issues of computational nonconvergence, the MoM/EDM-PO method, which is characterized by a modified impedance matrix in the MoM region, is employed. Numerical results indicate the significant accuracy and superior performance of proposed method over traditional MoM-PO (FEKO) and octree-based MoM/EDM-PO approaches.
