Stein Fibers Ltd., Albany, N.Y., reports it has purchased Charlotte, N.C.-based Consolidated Fibers and J.E. Herndon Co., Kings Mountain, N.C. Consolidated Fibers specializes in man-made fibers for the non wovens industry. In addition to polyester and viscose fibers, Stein reports the acquisition adds a complement of speciality and niche products to its portfolio.
