摘要
Tensile properties and microstructure of different sizes specimens were tested at different positions for a cast Al-Si alloy cylinder head. The tensile properties of different positions of the cylinder head were analyzed and the influence of specimens with different sizes on the tensile properties was studied. The results show that there are some differences in the tensile properties of the entire cylinder head structure. The property of the top plate is the best, followed by the bottom plate, and the force wall is the worst. In addition, based on the tensile data of different sizes specimens, the Weibull distribution model of the weakest-link theory was established. The relationship of tensile properties with different sizes specimens was obtained using the model. A reasonable prediction of the tensile properties of the standard specimens using the small specimens was realized with a prediction error of 6.64%. The prediction method can obtain the reference tensile property data of thin-walled structure of complex components, and then can guide the strength evaluation of overall structure of the complex components. © 2022, Editorial Office of the Transaction of CSICE.
