摘要
It was proposed to improve the flow field in the Claus furnace with the checker wall structure and optimize the acid gas supplement process to increase the combustion efficiency and yield of sulfur in the furnace. Compared with the choke structure, the checker wall structure could enhance the gas mixing effect, prolong the gas residence time and shorten the effective reaction length in the furnace. The ratio of the feed amount of supplementary acid gas to the inlet sour gas was defined as an optimized variable to study the process of supplementary acid gas, and the optimal acid gas supplement method was obtained when the ratio was 0.3. Compared with the choke structure, the SO2 mass fraction at the outlet decreased by 50%, the acid gas treatment capacity increased by 30%, and the yield of sulfur element at the outlet increased by 8.9%. The results show that space utilization rate of the furnace and the yield of sulfur in the furnace could be increased by improving the flow field of furnace with the checker wall and optimizing the acid gas replenishment process. © 2021, Editorial Board of "Journal of Chemical Engineering of Chinese Universities".
