A novel Ti3C2Tx-PANI composite polyurethane coating with dual corrosion resistance and noise reduction functionality

摘要
This study reports a composite coating with noise reduction and corrosion resistance properties. A series of PUbased organic coating matrices, whose performance was validated with different compositions, were first prepared. Subsequently, Ti3C2Tx-PANI composite fillers, possessing both porous and layered structures, were successfully synthesized and incorporated into the optimal-performing organic coating matrices. Experimental testing and finite element analysis demonstrated that the prepared composite coating could reduce environmental noise levels by approximately 25 to 30 dB through leveraging its internal microcavity structure and superb damping performance. Furthermore, due to the barrier effect against corrosive media infiltration provided by the fillers, the impedance modulus of the coating remained 109 Omega & sdot;cm2 after being immersed in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution for 50 days. In summary, this coating with an outstanding corrosion resistance and noise reduction performance, demonstrates huge potential for applications in reducing noise and preventing corrosion in marine equipment.
