Bell-less charging devices in case of water and nitrogen cooling of rotary mechanism

摘要
Operation of blast furnaces in Russian Federation has been considered. New blast furnaces will not be constructed. In connection with this, modernization of the furnaces plays very important role. New equipment is installed in the furnaces. Technical and economic indices of the furnaces are improved in case of the existing charging device replacement with bell-less charging devices. Uniform distribution of charge materials is provided in this case. High degree of utilization of chemical and thermal energies of the furnace gases is observed. Opportunities for cooling the equipment with water and nitrogen have been discussed.
