Manufacturers attract and retain customers by building products to their unique requirements and delivering them at the same time and for the same price as standard items with the help of web-based softwares. They are creating an environment where supply chain plays a major role in the design and innovation of the product. Product configurations are also used to help manufacturers coordinate the components of a product during the design process. The software used to offer built-to -order products reduces time-to-market which is important to customers.
