Seepage prevention treatment in construction of hidden engineering for Changjiang's major levees

The engineering scales, geologic conditions of levee foundation and hidden dangerous states of Changjiang's major levees in flood season are introduced. Relatively detailed discussions on some primary problems to be considered in the design schemes of vertical impermeable wall for seepage prevention treatment and four kinds of methods adopted in the construction of impermeable wall, i.e., deep layer mixing method, replacement method, compression method and high pressure injection method, are emphatically conducted. Lastly, some suggestions on improving construction equipments, renovating construction methods and taking note of environment protection in the impermeable wall construction, amending construction quality detection measures, and reducing unit cost price etc., are proposed.
