Defect mode and mode of electromagnetic wave in cylindrical doping photonic crystal

摘要
The condition of electromagnetic wave mode is obtained by restrictions condition of electromagnetic wave in the cylindrical one-dimensional(1D) doping photonic crystal. The defect modes of TE wave and TM wave are calculated by the characteristic matrix method. The new defect mode structures of cylindrical doping photonic crystal are obtained. The defect mode frequencies of TE wave and TM wave increase with increasing quantum number but decrease with increasing cylinder radius. The defect mode full-width at half-maximum(FWHM) of TE wave decreases with increasing quantum number but increases with increasing cylinder radius, while the defect mode FWHM of TM wave changes different.
