摘要
Contractors at Manchester's Commonwealth Games stadium in the UK have used flexible pipe-in-pipe technology for the supply of hot water. For this project the flexible system comprises a cross-linked polyethylene-based service pipe which is insulated with a layer of polyurethane semi-rigid foam and then enclosed in a high-density polyethylene outer casing. The pipe is designed to have excellent thermal characteristics, does not corrode, and is chemically stable. It is also easy to work with and environmentally friendly.
