To realize continuous production, cost reduction and other optimal objectives, a production scheduling model for reheating furnace and hot rolling was proposed by considering production process demands, customer demand and productivity of heating furnace and hot mill, and the Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II(NSGA-II) was used to solve this model. When heating furnace or hot mill failed, the partial rescheduling strategy was used to adjust the production planning, which could realize rescheduling for heating furnace and hot rolling processes. To reduce the influence of random factors, the chromosome was simulated repeatedly and independently, and the average value was returned to the optimizer. The actual production data showed that the proposed model and method were feasible and effective.
