A novel combination of evidence theory based on improved conflict coefficient

The conflict coefficient and the combination rule of D-S evidence theory were studied and another factor that leads to the conflict between the results of evidence combination and fact was found. A novel representation of conflict coefficient as well as combination rules of evidence theory was proposed. The irrational situation of the evidence conflict coefficient processing and the combination rule were taken into consideration within the novel scheme. In this scheme, the novel global collision coefficient in terms of self-collision coefficient and conflict coefficient were presented. The new combination rule was established in compliance with the principle of basic probability distribution, and the combination of the theory of multi-point set of element evidences was deduced. The results show that the proposed method is simpler, and more accurate than the traditional algorithm. It has advantages in dealing with the evidence confliction and normal evidence. © 2018, Central South University Press. All right reserved.
