摘要
The main components of the rice bran biodiesel (RBD) fuel were detected by using gas chroma tography-mass spectrometry and the RBD fuel characteristics were determined. The results show that the properties of RBD fuel are similar to that specified by international biodiesel fuel standards. The engine test was carried out by using 0#diesel fuel, RBD fuel and RBD-ethanol blend fuel, and the physiochemical characteristics of the particulate matter (PM) of the diesel engine were analyzed by scanning electronic microscope and X-ray energy spectrometer. The results show that the soot emissions obviously reduce when the engine is fueled with RBD and the blend fuel, and the brake specific fuel consumption is the highest when the engine is fueled with the blend fuel. The PM appears as a loose and conglomerated status when the engine is fueled with 0#diesel fuel, the PM size is smaller and PM arrangement is more compact when the engine is fueled with RBD fuel, the PM sample appears as a chip and noncrystalline solid status when the engine is fueled with the blend fuel, and the content of metal and oxygen element in PM sample is higher when the engine is fueld with RBD fuel.
