Back analysis of rock slope GSI magnitude under Hoek-Brown criterion

摘要
For slope in closely jointed schist rock mass, the equation of the slid surface was solved by the limit analysis upper bound theorem under Hoek-Brown criterion. The relationship between GSI and the slid surface depth was analyzed and the change law of slid surface with γ and H was plotted. The results show that the GSI can be back analyzed utilizing the slid surface depth. Finally, a example proves the effectiveness of this method.
