Radiative characteristics of flow over a hypersonic blunt double-cone body

It is important to study the radiation of flow over a reentry body for the penetration and discrimination of a hypersonic vehicle. Based on Navier-Stokes equations and radiative transfer equation, the computational methods are set up to compute the flow with wake and its heat radiation over reentry vehicles. The radiative characteristics from the high temperature and chemical reaction flow over a blunt double-cones body are computed and analyzed with the spectral range from 0.4 μm to 12.0 μm, the visual angle is from 0 to 180 degrees and flight altitude is from 40 km to 60 km.
