A Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a self-configured wireless Network. MANET is dynamic and infrastructure less network in nature. MANET is very popular due to its large number of applications. A mobile node also acts as a router in such network. Therefore, a specialized routing algorithm is needed in MANET. Power of battery is a great concern in MANET as it is very limited. A number of algorithms are proposed to save the power of battery but more efficient algorithms are needed. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient routing algorithm that uses the concept of Clustering and Entropy in the background. As observed that the path is calculated on the basis of entropy, a new path is formed for every transmission and it enhances the security of MANET also. This paper presents an analysis of contrast between the performance of clustered network and entropy based clustered network by using different network parameters. We recommend that entropy based cluster networks consume less amount of battery power. © 2018 by Begell House, Inc.
