A retrospective view of the laws of software engineering

摘要
Software development is now more than 60 years of age. A number of interesting laws and observations have been created by software engineering researchers and by some academics. This short paper summarizes these laws and makes observations about the data and facts that underlie them. The laws discussed in this paper are in alphabetical order. Many of these laws did not originate with software but are taken from physics and other scientific fields. However, they are included because they seem relevant to software development.
