摘要
To keep balance of reactive power in HVDC substation, Circuit Breaker (CB) in filter branch is switched frequently, which is easy to cause arc fault, the insulating ability of CB can be destroyed, even exploded. Considering CB arc fault belongs to high-frequency transient fault, the duration is short, the arc currents don't have fixed steady-state cycles and obvious current zero intervals, the existing arc detection method is not applicable to detect CB arc fault. Aiming at this issue, through analyzing the arc currents of pre-breakdown stage and steady arcing stage, an arc detection method based on first order accumulation and average deviation was proposed in this paper. The correctness and feasibility of simulation results in different situations were analyzed, besides, real recorded data proved the validity of the proposed algorithm. © 2018 Chin. Soc. for Elec.
