Aerodynamics in the tunnels of the Mediterranean high-speed railroad

摘要
The new Mediterranean high-speed railroad has underground structures with a total length of 13.4 kilometers. Those structures have been designed to reduce the effect of the complex physical phenomena related to operating high-speed trains in tunnels. This article describes those phenomena and the design solutions that improve the aerodynamics in tunnels.
