The topics discussed and various decisions made in various Pharmaceutical Automation Roundtable (PAR) meetings were analyzed. In the mid of the year 2004 a PAR meeting was held which discussed generic concerns and various regulations related to water purification and its related hazards. The fourth Pharmaceutical Process Analysis Roundtable (PPAR) meeting was hosted by Genentech in San Fransisco from October 12-14, 2004, which discussed the use of on-stream analyzers and analytical data in the various biological processes. It is pointed that at various meetings held in the year 2004, the technique of manufacturing automation was stressed by all the attendees for achieving the optimum manufacturing efficiency and high environmental safety.
