摘要
Vibration signals are often used to detect cavitation in centrifugal pumps. Here, to more accurately capture the development state of cavitation in centrifugal pump and explore effects of cavitation on vibration signals at different positions of centrifugal pump, a single-stage centrifugal pump was taken as an example to study vibration signals of centrifugal pump in different cavitation stages. The sensitivity of vibration signal of each measuring point to cavitation was analyzed by calculating change rate of vibration acceleration level of each measuring point during cavitation inception and lift of centrifugal pump dropping by 3%. A vibration signal was divided into several segments with different frequency bands using 1 / 3 octave band, and sensitivities of these segments with different frequency bands to cavitation were analyzed. The results showed that the measuring point at baffle tongue and Y measuring point at inlet flange have higher sensitivity to incipient cavitation and serious cavitation in centrifugal pump, and can be applied in studying cavitation phenomenon in centrifugal pump; Z measuring point at bearing pedestal and Z measuring point at inlet flange have lower sensitivity to cavitation phenomenon in centrifugal pump, so they are not suitable for studying cavitation phenomenon. © 2022 Chinese Vibration Engineering Society.
