摘要
This paper studies real-time stop-skipping strategies for transit operations to remedy disrupted transit service. Two models for a real-time stop-skipping strategy, which consist of a vehicle deficit-based model and a time-based mode, are presented. Then, the two stop-skipping strategies proposed in this paper are tested with the data of the bus route 23 in Dalian city of China. Results show that the time-based strategy is better than the deficitbased strategy, with a 7.53% decrease in the overall waiting time and 25.53% decrease in the frequency of the time-based dispatching strategy. Furthermore, integrating the performance and facilitating application, the deficit-based stop-skipping strategy is also a powerful tool for transit operation.
