摘要
Accurate environmental noise assessment and effective noise control are essential in allowing the gas compressor stations to co-exist in harmony with surrounding land uses. The potential radius of environmental noise impact of a compressor station ranges upto several miles depending upon the degree of noise control included in the design. The identification and quantification of the noise sources and understanding of the available means of noise mitigation are critical in controlling environmental noise from compression facilities. This control is achieved by tighter limits on environmental noise emissions and technological advancements in measurement techniques and mitigation methods.
