摘要
We report the synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of compounds in RE(BaBO3)3 (RE = Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb), crystallize in a hexagonal structure with space group P63cm, where the rare earth local moments lay out on a quasi-two dimensional triangular lattice. The analysis of magnetic susceptibilities indicate these materials display dominant antiferromagnetic interactions without magnetic order or glassiness above 2 K, suggest this series of compounds as a potential model for investigating magnetic frustration and novel magnetic ground state in rare-earth based materials. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.
