摘要
The multi phases separation by electric field is an essential process in the petroleum and chemical industries. Droplets approaching each other is the prerequisite of the electrostatic coalescence. This paper analysed the dynamic forces between the droplets, recorded the droplets approaching process by dynamic micro-experimental method. The research also investigated the effect of approaching method and angle of droplets. As a result, the angle of the droplets center and electric field direction less than 54. 7° or more than 125. 3° at higher droplets distance, it would shown attractive force between two droplets, the maximum inclination angle of droplets would reach to 81. 3° at short distance. The critical movement electric strength increased rapidly with relative distance between the droplets, and the bigger droplets needed higher electric strength to move than smaller droplets. The results of the experiment verified the theory, and improve the electrostatic coalescence mechanism.
