Screenless tip-screenout fracturing triples production in Kern River field

From 1997 to 2000, screenless tip-screenout (TSO) fractures were used to stimulate production in the Kern River field. More than 500 fracture treatments pumped in 200 wells caused oil production to nearly triple. The full-length paper presents a statistical analysis relating production response to treatment parameters.
