摘要
The outer hair cell contributes to the active processes in the cochlea via a unique form of motility, called electromotility. A nonlinear piezoelectric-type model of the outer hair cell membrane (wall) is introduced. The proposed continuum-type approach is consistent with a molecular level of analysis where the active strains are associated with molecular motors in the outermost plasma membrane of the composite outer hair cell wall.
