Research on accuracy of machining rotary cutting tool based on line interpolation

Linear interpolation is used in the multi-axis NC machine. A computational model is presented for cutting edge width error in machining rotary cutting tool with zero cutting edge. It gives an attention to accuracy analysis of cutting edge width, which is affected by two geometrical bodies - the outer circle and taper surface of grinding wheel. An improving accuracy method is also proposed. A CL calculating principle of across node is provided. This method is simple and reliable. According to this principle, the surface accuracy of workpiece may be improved.
