摘要
Using a coating based on zinc-aluminium flake or lamellae, a corrosion protection coating is available which is chromium-free and non-electrolytically deposited. The protective action is based primarily on a barrier mechanism, also on cathodic protection supplied by the zinc and also an inner passivation effect. Depending on the composition of the coating, a predetermined coefficient of friction can be arranged, which is highly desirable for fasteners. The coating system is steadily gaining acceptance in a range of automotive applications and sub-assemblies.
