Praxair's BOF CoJet™ technology attracts attention

In the electric furnace, the CoJet system was designed to decrease the amount of required process equipment. It eliminates the need for conventional lance systems, improves productivity, yield and increases throughput. In addition, the technology reduces energy costs which makes it especially attractive in the current high energy cost environment. With CoJet gas injection technology, steelmakers realize the savings for every ton made during a 15,000 heat campaign instead of just for 3,000 or 4,000 heats.
