Last year, the U.S. Technical Advisory Group developed a product support initiative (PSI) for the International Organization for Standardization's Technical Committee 176. The major purpose of the PSI survey is to provide quantifiable measurements of the experiences of organizations implementing and using the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system (QMS) standard. This is expected to result in understanding of the major conformance challenges and to provide guidance during any future revisions of the standard.
